Campaigning for Assembly polls gears up in Meghalaya, Nagaland

The Assembly poll campaigning is hotting up in Meghalaya and Nagaland with the participations of national and and state level political leaders. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address election rallies in both the states today.

BJP Nagaland Unit informed that Mr Modi will address an election rally in Tuensang district. Other poll political parties are also campaigning in the state. Congress President Rahul Gandhi and senior party leaders Sonia Gandhi, Dr. Manmohan Singh are also expected to visit the State. JDU leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, National Peoples’ Party President Conrad K Sangma will also  take part in the part in campaign. Besides, prominent campaigners of the Naga Peoples’ Front party and the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party are campaigning to woo the voters in their favours. 

In Meghalaya, the Prime Minister will visit Garo Hills to take part in the campaigning. 
AIR correspondent reports that the stage has been set for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit at Phulbari in Garo Hills. Elaborate arrangement has been made in and around the venue ahead of thw visit.All the political parties have intensified their efforts to woo the voters. Yesterday Congress President Rahul Gandhi held a road show in Shillong. 

The polling will be held in both the States on 27th of this month.
