Chhattisgarh: Swachch Bharat brand ambassador 106-year-old Kunwar Bai dies



Swachch Bharat brand ambassador 106-year-old Kunwar Bai died at a government hospital at Raipur in Chhattisgarh today.A resident of Kotabharri village in Dhamtari district, Kunwar Bai was in the national news as a mascot for Swachch Bharat campaign, she sold all her goats to construct a toilet at her home. Not only was she applauded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the PM also touched her feet and felicitated her during a public meeting in Rajnandgaon in February 2016.
While undergoing treatment, the 106-year-old woman had expressed her wish to meet Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh, who made a WhatsApp video call from Delhi and had inquired about her health.
