Strength of women should be celebrated every day: I&B Minister

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Smriti Irani has said that the strength of women should be celebrated every day and not only on a particular occasion like International Women's Day. 

In an exclusive interview to All India Radio, on the eve of International Women's Day, Ms Irani said, women have the ability to lead the nation and to bring about a change in the society. 

She said, women should be respected every day and everyone should help the women so that they can achieve their dreams. She said, men should be sensitive towards the issues and problems of women.

During the interview, Ms Irani highlighted various initiatives taken by the Narendra Modi Government like MUDRA Yojana and Ujjwala Yojana towards women empowerment.

Ms Irani also conveyed her greetings to people on the occasion of International Women's Day.
