Prime Minister Narendra Modi held crucial bilateral discussions with his Swedish counterpart Stefan Lofven in Stockholm this afternoon.

The two leaders had a productive exchange of views on bilateral and regional issues. They took a short walk together from the Soger House to Rosenbad for the delegation level talks.

Mr Modi also called on Sweden King Carl XVI Gustaf. They exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation across several sectors.

Mr Modi will hold a series of bilateral meetings with the counterparts of other Nordic countries- Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway and all the leaders will take part in the first ever India Nordic summit, being co-hosted by India and Sweden.

The discussions will mainly focus on innovative technologies especially relating to Smart Cities, renewable energy, growth, trade, investment and climate change.
