J&K: Pakistan forces again resort to heavy mortar shelling along LoC in Jammu

In Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan forces again resorted to heavy mortar shelling along the Line of Control in Jammu district last evening. Defence sources told AIR Jammu that Pakistani forces started unprovoked firing and shelling targeting some Indian positions and civilian areas in Khour area of Akhnoor sector of Jammu district around 4 pm yesterday.

Army troops guarding the borderline retaliated the firing effectively and intermittently exchange of fire lasted for around four hours.Earlier in the morning also Pakistan's forces had resorted to firing and shelling in the area promoting retaliation by Indian Army.

There is no report of any causality or injury from the Indian side so far. Small Arms, Automatics and Mortars are said to be used in the firing.
