PM Narendra Modi to begin his 3 day visit to Singapore tomorrow
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin his three day visit to Singapore starting tomorrow. He will be India’s first Prime Minister to deliver a key note address in the Shangrila Dialogue. The High Commissioner of Singapore Jawed Ashraf spoke to our correspondent on the significance of this address by the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Modi will hold wide ranging discussions with his Singapore counterpart Lee Hsien Loong during the visit. The High Commissioner Jawed Ashraf told AIR that both countries are likely to sign around 35 agreements during this second official visit of Prime Minister Modi.
AIR correspondent reports that the Prime Minister will arrive tomorrow afternoon to Singapore and interact with Business and Trade representatives. Next day he will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Lee of Singapore. In the evening tomorrow he will deliver the key note address in the Shangri La dialogue, a global platform for strategic and security affairs in the Asia Pacific region. On the last day of his tour, Prime Minister Modi will visit naval and cultural centres and also unveil a plaque at the Clifford Pier to commemorate the immersion of Mahatma Gandhi’s ashes in Singapore.
