Teams of the National Disaster Response Force, Army, Navy, and Coast Guard are deployed in various affected districts for rescue operations.   The Indian Air Force has pressed into action with two helicopters for the search and rescue operation .

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today spoke to chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan  and said the Centre will provide all possible assistance to Kerala for controlling the flood situation .

With the heavy rain flow still continuing without any pause, Kerala has no escape from floods, waterlogging and landslides. State Revenue Minister E Chandrasekharan said the rehabilitation is going on in the right direction and added that the central team camping in Kerala have not left the state. The minister also directed people to stay while carrying out rituals including Bali Tharpanam in various temples tomorrow.

Tourists including 30 foreign nationals who were trapped in a resort in Munnar are safe.  With the opening of dams  low-lying areas in Ernakulam and Alappuzha districts were submerged. People are being shifted to relief camps.
