BJP blames Congress for triple talaq impasse

The BJP has blamed Congress president Rahul Gandhi for the triple talaqbill not getting the parliamentary nod in the Monsoon Session. ParliamentaryAffairs Minister Ananth Kumar said in New Delhi that Congress supported thetriple talaq bill in Lok Sabha but not support in Rajya Sabha for vote bankpolitics. The minister said,  government till last moment tried to ensurethe passage of the bill, but Congress stalled it. Mr Kumar said, Modigovernment is committed to the welfare of Muslim women.

Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, Congress stands exposed bystalling the passage of this landmark bill.
