11 feared killed in J&K road mishap

In Jammu and Kashmir eleven persons are feared killed while another injured seriously as a vehicle plunged into the Chenab river in Kishtwar district today. 

According to police sources a vehicle on the way from Paddar to Kishtwar which was carrying Machail Yatra pilgrims skidded off the road in Noos Padhyarna' area on Paddar-Gulabgarh-Kishtwar road and plunged into the river on Tuesday morning. 

Rescue operation is being carried out and so far three bodies have been recovered. The accident spot is about 32 kilometres away from the district headquarters.

The annual Machail pilgrimage is going on in this mountainous Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
