India beat Maldives 2-0 in Group B match of SAFF Cup in Dhaka

Defending champions India beat Maldives 2-nil in a Group B match of the South Asian Football Federation Cup(SAFF) in Dhaka this evening. With this victory, India have won both their group B matches. Earlier, India beat Sri Lanka with the same margin. 


Maldives and Sri Lanka lost both their Group B matches.  In group A, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh played 3 matches each but won two each. Bhutan failed to win any of the 3 matches it played.


Top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals which will be played on Wednesday. The final is slated for Saturday.
