Prime Minister Narendra Modi today took a dig at opposition parties effort to forge a  grand  alliance ahead of  2019  General elections alleging that  it lacks  leadership and its ideology is unclear and intention is corrupt. He said, those who can't even see each other, are now joining  hands for a grand alliance. He said, it is a vindication of the work done by the NDA government.

Addressing the valedictory session of two day BJP's national executive meeting in New Delhi, Mr. Modi paid rich tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and gave a new slogan of  Ajay Bharat, Atal Bhajpa. The slogan means an India which is victorious and cannot be subjugated by anyone and a party which is committed to its principles.

Briefing reporters in New Delhi, Union Minister and senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said, in his speech, the Prime Minister  attacked the Congress accusing it of being failed to raise the issues of pubic concerns. He alleged that the Congress is not fighting on the issue but on lies and their falsehoods must be countered by the party workers on facts and achievements of the government.

He said, the Prime Minister also said, there should be opposition in democracy but those who were a failure in the government also a failure in the opposition. Mr Prasad also quoted Mr. Modi as saying that no one is ready to accept Congress's leadership and  not even small parties.

Saying that there is no opposition's challenge for the BJP in the next elections, Mr. Modi said, for the BJP,  power is not an instrument of sitting on the chair but to work for the welfare of the people. He also stressed on the need for development with a human face adding that his government does not look at the caste, creed or religion of people when it works for their welfare like providing gas and electricity.

He said, the government looks everything in totality. He said, due to the government's schemes, five crore people have been lifted out of the poverty.  Mr. Prasad said, the Prime Minister also asked the party workers  to strengthen the party base at each polling booth.

In his address,  BJP President Amit Shah said  after wining 2019 polls, nobody will be able to remove the BJP for next 50 years. Mr Prasad  quoted the BJP President as saying this during the meeting.

Earlier, the national executive passed a political resolution highlighting the works of NDA government in the last four years.
It said,  this government has  leadership, vision, passion and imagination for the development of country.  It also mentioned   about making new India by 2022 which will be free of poverty communalism, castism, corruption and terrorism.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar told media that the resolution says that  in the last four years the situation of internal security has improved significantly as compared to the previous regime. Mr Javadekar said, terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir has come down and the effect of naxalism is also shrinking day by day. The resolution also spoke about NRC issue related to Assam and said, the government is not against the citizen of the country but infiltration.

The Minister said, in the last four years the government has implemented  several works for the welfare of people. He said, the BJP has expanded its base in the country under the leadership of Mr Modi and Party President Amit Shah and now it is ruling in 19 states.
