J&K: Eight terrorists killed in separate operations

In Jammu & Kashmir, eight terrorists were killed in separate operations in Kupwara, Baramulla and Jammu today. 

Three unidentified terrorists have been eliminated in a fierce gunfight after army foiled a major infiltration bid along LoC in Keran sector of frontier district Kupwara. Army sources said, the bodies of armed terrorists are lying close to the LoC and the counter-infiltration operation is still on.

Earlier in the day, two Pakistani Jaish e Muhammad terrorists were killed in an operation at Checkipora Sheikhpora Sopore area in Baramulla district. A police spokesman said, one of the killed terrorists was the mastermind behind the Sopore IED blast in which four policemen were killed. 

In another incident, two terrorists were apprehended by J&K Police in Ganderbal district.

In Jammu, three JeM terrorists were killed in an ongoing encounter in Jhajjar Kotli area.  Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh gave this information to AIR.
