The cyclonic storm DAYE has weekend further into a depression over Vidarbha in Maharashtra.

It is expected to move west-northwestwards and weaken further into a low pressure in next 24 hours.

Talking to AIR, Head of Services of IMD, Dr M Mohapatra said, under its influence, rainfall is likely to take place at most places over Vidarbha and North Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

Dr M Mohapatra said, on Sunday the low-pressure system is expected to interact with a western disturbance which will approach North East India.

He said, due to this Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Western UP, Uttrakhand and Himachal Pradesh are expected to experience enhanced rainfall activity.
