Vice President Venkaiah Naidu addresses Tamil Chamber of Commerce in Chennai

PIB
Vice President Venkaiah Naidu has said, the world community must come together to ensure that economic offenders are extradited from their countries of refuge and taken to task.

Addressing the gathering at the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the Tamil Chamber of Commerce in Chennai this evening, he said no one should dare to defraud people, investors and customers and then leave the country.

Mr Venkaiah Naidu said business chambers should encourage businesses to be truthful and disciplined and practice restraint. He said, self-regulation should be exercised in matters like responsible waste disposal, use of chemicals and pesticides and maintaining standards in food processing.

The Vice President stressed that a clean mind, clean surroundings and clean money are needed to build a new India. He added that 'Swachh Bharat' should be the mantra that resonates across all facets of the country from economy to environment.
