US President Donald Trump says he is grateful for his friendship with PM Narendra Modi

US President Donald Trump   says he is grateful for his friendship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Celebrating  Diwali in  the historic Roosevelt Room of the White House  along with   Indian-Americans, Mr Trump said  United States has deep ties  with  India and that  the relationship between the countries can act as a bulwark for freedom, prosperity, and peace.Referring to the India-US trade deal negotiations ,Mr Trump remarked that India is a very good negotiator .
 
Nearly two dozen top Indian American officials of his Administration including Indian Ambassador to the US, Navtej Singh Sarna attended White House Diwali celebrations.Since 2003, Diwali celebrations at the White House has become an annual tradition.
