BBC
In the United States, the death toll in the country's deadliest wildfire in a century in Northern California has climbed to 76, with nearly 1,300 people still missing.

Authorities said, deputies have located hundreds of people, but the overall number of those unaccounted for continues to grow.

President Donald Trump toured the area, joined by California's outgoing and incoming Governors, and took stock of the situation in the town of Paradise. Describing the scene as sad to see, he pledged government's full support.

The blaze, known as Camp Fire, started in the area on the 8th of this month and destroyed nearly 10,000 homes and torched some 600 square kilometres. It has been 55 per cent contained.

Mr Trump also visited Southern California, where firefighters were making progress on a wildfire that tore through communities west of Los Angeles, killing three people.
