Campaigning intensifies in poll-bound state Mizoram

In Mizoram, with just a week to go for polling on 28th of this month, campaigning by major parties has intensified across the state.
Meanwhile, Election Commission has extended the last date for postal vote polling for service voters till tomorrow. Postal vote polling began on 19th of this month and was scheduled to end today.
Election Commission has also arranged for making temporary polling stations at Kanhmun village, bordering with Tripura, to facilitate Bru displaced voters to cast their votes. Our Correspondent reports that CEO Ashish Kundra had talks with inmates of Bru relief camps in Tripura.
The inmates voiced their insecurity in casting their votes in Mizoram. CEO however, assured them of adequate security measures. He also said the Mizo community is ready to welcome them and will open facilitation centres for them.
