PIB
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today interacted with Directors General and Inspectors General of Police from across the country at their annual conference.
The conference is being held at a tent-city set up near the Statue of Unity at Kevadiya in Narmada district of Gujarat.
Mr Modi tweeted that the discussions at the DGPs/IGPs conference would strengthen the country's security apparatus. The three-day event began yesterday in the presence of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
Before heading for the conference, Mr Modi visited the Statue of Unity, the world's tallest statue, which he had unveiled on October 31.
Prime Minister also paid floral tributes to country's first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. In another tweet, Mr Modi urged the countrymen to visit the world's tallest statue.
Tomorrow, Prime Minister will address the national convention of BJP women's wing at Trimandir, a temple complex near Adalaj village in Gandhinagar.
Mr Modi arrived at Vadodara airport this morning, where he was received by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel.
