NHRC ensures construction of bridge by Gujarat Govt in Kaneri village, Junagarh

National Human Rights Commission, NHRC has ensured construction of a bridge by the Gujarat Government which will help the children of Kaneri village in Junagarh District do to reach their school. 

According to the Commission, the  Gujarat government informed that a bridge has been constructed  over the Ripen river connecting the village from all the roads and the children will not have to swim across the  river to reach the school. 

Following the compliance of its recommendations by the State Government, the Commission decided to close the case.

The Commission had registered the case on the basis of a complaint  in this regard.Besides this matter, the NHRC in its full Commission sitting today considered 19 other cases of human rights violations.
