BJP today hit out at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee alleging that she has chosen the path of falsehood to protect those involved in chit fund scams.

Briefing media in New Delhi, party leader Meenakshi Lekhi alleged that she is not allowing BJP rallies on false law and order situation in the state because BJP is gaining people's support. She said, this has been cleared by a sting operation of a CID officer.

Ms Lekhi said, there are many states in the country where BJP is not in power but they organised rallies  using their constitutional right.
