Govt will redress lawyer’s grievances to best extent possible: Ravi Shankar Prasad

The government today assured that it will do everything possible to fulfil the demands of over one lakh lawyers who are on a protest in the country. Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said the government has an open mind and will redress their grievances to the best extent possible. Mr Prasad was responding to Sukhendu Shekhar Roy of TMC, who raised the matter during the Zero Hour. Mr Roy said the lawyers seek budgetary allocation for stipend and insurance cover for themselves and their families. They also demand better infrastructure facilities  in courts across the country.
