Two jawans of Uttarakhand martyred in Pulwama attack cremated with State honours

The two jawans of Uttarakhand martyred in the terror attack in Pulwama were cremated with full State honours today.

The body of ASI Mohan Lal Raturi was brought to his house in Dehradun this morning. After Chief Minister, Trivendra Rawat and other dignitaries paid tributes to the jawan, his body was consigned to flames at Haridwar. 

The other martyr, Virendra Singh Rana hailing from Udhamsingh Nagar district was cremated in Khatima where Union Minister, Ajay Tamta, State Cabinet Minister, Yashpal Arya and others laid floral wreaths to pay their tributes.

People gathered in large numbers on the occasion were angry and shouted slogans demanding stern action against Pakistan.

The Chief Minister has announced an ex-gratia of 25 lakh rupees each and government jobs to next of kin of the martyrs.
