Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for a united India to fight against terrorism. He targeted the Opposition for not standing united in the face of terrorism.

Mr Modi was speaking after kickstarting the NDA's Lok Sabha election campaign in Bihar today. Addressing 'Sankalp Rally' at Patna's Gandhi Maidan, the Prime Minister said Opposition say Modi should be finished, but he wants them to come together to fight terrorism. He also lashed out at the Opposition for questioning the government over the Balakot air strike.

Mr. Modi said, rather than encouraging the armed forces, they are doing and saying things that make India's enemies smile. He said the Opposition is even started asking for proof of the air strike. Mr Modi asked as to why Congress and its allies are demoralizing the forces and giving statements which are benefiting the country's enemies.

The Prime Minister said, these days, a competition is underway to abuse the 'Chowkidaar'. He assured people that the 'Chowkidaar' is always attentive. Mr Modi also saluted the martyrs of the Pulwama terror attack, and said the whole nation is standing with the families of the jawans.

Mr Modi said for the first time in 50 years, India was invited to the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) and it's voice was heard with respect. The Prime Minister said the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, during his recent visit, increased the quota for Haj pilgrims from India to two lakh on his request. He also announced the release of 850 Indian prisoners arrested his country on flimsy charges.

Mr Modi said, the Centre and the Bihar government are working together for the state's development. He said, work is underway in areas, including roadways, railways and airways. He added that the NDA government wants to ensure that all sections of people in Bihar have access to the best facilities.

Addressing the rally, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar hailed Mr Modi for his development objective, saying the JD(U)-BJP renewed their alliance in the state for people's welfare. Mr Kumar said, the Bihar government wants to build toilets for all houses of the state with the Centre's assistance, by 2nd October this year. He said, by this year's Gandhi Jayanti, Bihar will be open defecation free.
