PM Modi hits out at opposition for raising questions on Balakot air strike

PTI
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has hit out at opposition who questioned the government over casualties in the recent air strike at a terrorist camp in Pakistan's Balakot.

Addressing a Vijay Sankalp Rally in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, Mr Modi said, on one hand, those who love the country are uniting, while on the other hand, those who hate Modi are questioning the government and creating doubt on the ability of our brave soldiers.

Mr Modi said, when the country is fighting a decisive battle against terrorism, they want to mislead the country and weaken the fight.

The Prime Minister also slammed those who allegedly supported Pakistan Prime minister Imran Khan. He said that the Congress which did nothing in the past cannot be expected to take action against terrorism in future.

The prime minister added whether it is national security or alleviating poverty - in every sphere the government is working honestly to drive the Nation forward.

Describing the priorities of his government, the Prime Minister said, the government has implemented the Ayushman Bharat Scheme that gives free treatment to 5 lakhs. Mr Modi said, for the first time, the scheme for providing free gas cylinders to every poor has reached the door of the poor.

The Prime minister said the biggest scheme for workers ‘Prime Minister Shram yogi Mandhan Yojana’ has been launched today benefitting 42 million workers who will get a pension after sixty years of age.

BJP workers, mainly from tribal-dominated Dhar and Ratlam-Jhabua Lok Sabha seats have taken part in the Vijay Sankalp rally. Mr Modi also interacted with beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat yojna.
