High-level Bangladeshi delegation visited All India Radio

A high-level Bangladeshi Delegation, headed by Secretary, Ministry of Information, Abdul Malek, today visited All India Radio to work out the modalities of operationalising the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the state broadcasters of two countries earlier. The delegation met Director General of All India Radio, AIR and DG, News Services Division, AIR and other senior officials to discuss the entire gamut of issues. 
Speaking to our correspondent, Mr Malek said, Bangaladesh Betar, state-owned radio broadcasting and All India Radio will collaborate to highlight common culture heritage and art and culture of both the countries to further cement strong bilateral relations. He said, in 2020 Bangladesh Betar and AIR will collaborate in the production of different programmes to mark the birth centenary year of the founder of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Mr Malek added that a special film directed by Shyam Benegal will also be produced.
