Innovative methods can make projects environmentally sustainable, says Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari highlighted the need of out of box thinking in planning, execution and maintenance of various projects.

He stressed on the fact that innovative methods can save money and make project green and environmentally sustainable. He was speaking in the 10th edition of regional GRIHA summit held today in Nagpur. 

This summit is being organized with the help of the Public Works Department of Government of Maharashtra.

The theme of this years summit is "Transformation Strategies for Built Environment". This theme is adapted to focus on the impact of incorporating sustainability initiatives into functioning public buildings. The ratings were awarded to 200 eligible projects today.

Also, Seven MoU's are signed with Chief Engineers of PWD who will incorporate green building principles in existing buildings.

GRIHA is an independent, non-profit society jointly set up by the Ministry of New and renewable energy and the energy and resources institute.
