Pakistan violates ceasefire in Nowshehra sector of Rajouri dist of J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, one civilian was injured when Pakistani troops violated ceasefire in Nowshehra sector of Rajouri district of Jammu division this morning.

According to Army sources, Pakistani troops started indiscriminate firing on Indian forward posts and civilian areas in the sector at around 6 am.

Alert Indian troops retaliated effectively and the exchange of fire continued for about one hour.


The injured civilian has been shifted to Sub District Hospital, Nowshehra for treatment. His condition is stated to be stable.
