West Bengal: CM Mamata Banerjee urges students to continue movement against CAA, NPR peacefully

@MamataOfficial
In West Bengal, State Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress President Mamata Banerjee has urged the student community to continue their movements against Citizenship Amendment Act and nationwide NPR peacefully instead of taking the path of violence.

Addressing the student wing of her party in Kolkata this evening, Ms. Banerjee said that only peaceful movement gets success. In this context, she referred her peaceful movements against land acquisition during previous Left Front Government in the state.

The Trinamool Congress Chief criticized the cheap politics of violence centering CAA and NPR issues. She also condemned damaging of public properties during recent agitations by some political parties in the state. The student wing is continuing their protest demanding repeal of Citizenship Amendment Act in the city which entered fourth day today.
