57 flights from Dubai, 26 from Abu Dhabi to bring back stranded Indians in next Vande Bharat Mission phase

Next phase of Vande Bharat Mission will start from 26th May to 8th June 2020. Maximum number of flights are scheduled from the UAE. A list of 57 flights have been declared as of now from Dubai and another 26 flights from Abu Dhabi.

As in the earlier phase, those with compelling reasons will be given priority in sending back.  Distressed workers, stranded tourists, pregnant women , stranded students, elderly and cases of medical emergency are being given preference.

From UAE, approximately 6000 Indians were repatriated under the Vande Bharat Mission during the last more than two weeks.

The Indian Mission in UAE tweeted that many new destinations have been added in this phase and more destinations are likely to be added in the due course in coordination with the state governments. Close to two lakh Indians in the UAE had registered to go back.

AIR Correspondent reports, more flights have been added in this phase of the Vande Bharat Mission to evacuate more and more stranded and distressed overseas Indian nationals. This phase will commence from tomorrow. From the Gulf countries , at least 140 flights have been scheduled which is likely to benefit more than 23000  Indians. Maximum numbers of flights are scheduled from the UAE.  57  flights are there from Dubai while another 26 from Abu Dhabi.

A majority of the flights are for the State of Kerala . Other destinations include, Jaipur , Gaya , Chandigarh , Ahmedabad , Kolkata , Srinagar , Goa, Chennai ,Madurai , Lucknow, Delhi , Amritsar, Hyderabad , Coimbatore and Bengaluru. As in the earlier phase , those with compelling reasons will be given priority in sending back.
