@Sadananda Gowda
Government is providing huge concession to the fertilizer factories for providing subsidized fertilizers to the farmers for agriculture purpose. Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said this while launching the Phase-two of the Direct Benefit Transfer of Fertilizer Subsidy in New Delhi.

He said, sale of all subsidized fertilizers to farmers and buyers is made through Point of Sale devices installed at each retailer shop. Mr Gowda said, the new initiative will transform the fertilizers sector.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Chemical and Fertilizers Mansukh Mandaviya said, the government has disbursed seven lakh crore rupees to the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer. He said, the DBT has resulted in cumulative savings of over one lakh crore rupees by removing fake beneficiaries, duplicate names and fraud.
