Odisha: Many towns continued to sizzle as mercury soared past 40°C

Odisha continued to sizzle as mercury soared past 40 degrees Celsius across 12 towns yesterday. At Talcher, temperature rose up to 43.8 degrees Celsius, making it the hottest place in the state.

All the ten Western Odisha districts crossed 40 degrees Celsius. According to a Bhubaneswar meteorological centre communiqué, the prevailing heat wave conditions are likely to continue in some interior parts of the state as well during the next 48 hrs.
