India’s woman wrestler Geeta Phogat loses to Tonya Lynn 1-3 in pre-QF
India's lone woman wrestler at the London Olympics, Geeta Phogat on Thursday lost to Tonya Lynn Verbeek of Canada 1-3 in the pre-quarterfinals of the Women's 55 kilogram Freestyle event.
Geeta had advanced to the last-16 stage after she got a bye in the opening round. But in the pre quarterfinals Geeta got a tough opponent in Tonya Verbeek who is a silver medalist from the 2004 Athens Olympics and had won a bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
