In Haryana, those suffering from ailments which have been notified as diseases of debilitating disorder will be entitled for special concession in transfer under the new teachers transfer policy of the state government. This was stated by the Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma said in Gurgaon yesterday. He said, the concession will also be applicable to teachers whose dependents are suffering from the notified diseases.
He said, diseases notified by the School Education Department in consultation with Health Department include chronic heart and artery diseases, chronic renal failure, brain tumours and malignancy of different organs, paraplegia, quadriplegia or hemiplegia, Multiple Sclerosis, Myasthenia Gravis and Parkinson’s Disease.
Mr Sharma said, necessary certificate must be issued by AIIMS and its branches in Haryana, PGIMER Chandigarh, PGIMS Rohtak, PGI Khanpur Kalan, Kalpana Chawla Medical College Karnal or Medical Board constituted in the districts.
